Whats HotDecember 10, 2007 Advanced Roofing Inc. is proud to announce the recent construction of a custom made playhouse. The “second floor” was roofed with commercial grade roofing and the interior is 100% watertight. The playhouse was donated to the Kane County Court System, which in return raffled it off @ a local Home Show with 100% of the proceeds going to the CASA program. In 1977, a Seattle judge conceived the idea of using trained community volunteers to speak for the best interests of abused and neglected children in court. So successful was this program that soon judges across the country began utilizing citizen advocates. In 1990, the US Congress encouraged the expansion of CASA programs with passage of the Victims of Child Abuse Act. Today, they have grown to a network of more than 50,000 volunteers that serve 225,000 abused and neglected children through 900+ local program offices nationwide. Their advocates, also known as volunteer guardians in some jurisdictions, are appointed members of the court. Judges rely on the information these trusted advocates present.
Advanced Roofing Inc. received a frantic call from the “parents” of Chip today. Somehow Chip mysteriously snuck outside past the ever watchful eyes of his “mother” After a period of time his “mother” noticed that he was not in the house and searched outside where she spotted him. He had somehow climbed up onto the roof and then onto the chimney top. Frantic calls to the neighbors for a ladder were useless as no one had a ladder long enough the reach him. The Fire and Police departments was called and they stated could not help. They called carpenters, handymen services, tree trimmers and even other roofers, all stated they would not or could not help. When they called us, our Customer Care Representative, whom is an avid animal lover, put Chip’s “mother” thru to our service department, whom located a service tech in the area. We were out and rescued Chip within 45 minutes. We were happy to have been involved in the rescue!!
