Mistakes to Avoid Homeowner couldn’t figure out why the upstairs bedroom always smelled like smoke. After the smell got so strong on one occasion, they called the Fire Department whom told them that a Chimney Flue Pipe could not be in front of a window?  Homeowner called and stated that he had a new roof installed two years ago and that he now has a leak – JUST NOW?  Homeowner called us and told us that the tenant stated that their gutter overflowed every time it rained which caused water to come in their window – Wonder Why?  Homeowner called and wondered why the gutter he installed overflowed each time it rained – UMM, MAYBE HE FORGOT THE DOWNSPOUT?  Homeowner called said he is selling the house and the inspected stated that his “Duct-Tape” fix of the cross beam in the attic was not satisfactory; it should be done by a reputable contractor. He asked us why the inspector was being so picky. UMM?  Homeowner called and asked if we did roof repairs around Chimney’s, he stated that he has had the same leak for 15 years and no one could stop the leak? Any Ideas?  New homeowner called, stated his attic fan didn’t look the same as his neighbors? I also would bet that one of his new neighbors trash is usually out of its container on garbage pick-up day! |
