Larry Savage
President

I started working in my family business at the age of six, working my way from the bottom of the ladder to the top. One of my first jobs was sweeping the warehouse. I then joined a crew installing new roofs, then moved to superintendent, project manager, estimator and sales and am now the President and Owner of the company.

At one point during my career, I would sell a job, be the project manager for the job, and help the crew with installing the roof! So I know what it takes to get the job done for you.

I attended the University of Alabama and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and also graduated from Dale Carnegie Institute. During my business career I have served on numerous boards in my field of expertise and have many years of working with insurance companies covering residential and condominium associations. I also frequently provide my opinion regarding roof details and specifications to architects, adjusters, roof consultants and homeowner’s associations throughout the Chicagoland and Fox Valley area.

I attribute my business knowledge to my father and all he taught me about the business, and for allowing me to be involved in the beginning at such a young age.

Mike Gangwer
Customer Service Manager

Mike has been with Advanced Roofing Inc. for three years. He graduated from Purdue North Central with a degree in Marketing. He is the On-site Project/Customer Service Manager. Mike oversees every job, making sure that all material and supplies are delivered on time. Mike also quickly and efficiently solves any problems that may arise to make sure that no time is lost on the job and 100% customer satisfaction is delivered. He also coordinates with the crews and office to make sure all projects are on schedule.

Mike enjoys his everyday interaction with customers and our crews and likes being able to help customers figure out their roofing problems and attain a solution to fix them. In his spare time Mike likes to go for bike rides and play golf.

Stacy Skinner
Office Manager

Stacy Skinner graduated with honors from Northern Illinois University in 2007. While at NIU she was a very active member of The National Society of Collegiate Scholars. 
As Office Manager for Advanced Roofing Inc. Stacy oversees the daily activities of the office, as well as coordinating all contracted projects. Stacy also handles financial duties as related to budgets, financial statements and bank reconciliation etc. When asked the favorite part of her job Stacy said “educating current and potential clients.” She enjoys the family atmosphere at Advanced Roofing Inc., where all staff is treated like family.

Stacy is married and has two dogs, Lola and Reilly. She enjoys taking long walks with their dogs and traveling with her husband.

Lindsay Welch
Marketing Manager

Lindsay graduated from NIU with bachelors in marketing and a minor in management. She works on all of Advanced Roofing Inc. marketing needs from the design of our famous yellow and blue trucks, our social media pages, blogging to creating our mailing and hand out literature. She has been with the company for 3 years. She enjoys vacations and spending time with her new puppy.

Brian Gumm
Commercial Multi-housing Project Manager

Brian has worked with the company for over 8 years. His specialty is the handing of all of our commercial multi housing jobs from the initial call estimate request to finish of the project. He takes pride in his job makes sure he attends any work-related educational classes that will help Advanced Roofing Inc perform their job better and more efficiently which results in great customer service. Brian has received the Master Shingle Applicator award from CertainTeed for many years in a row. He enjoys working for Advanced Roofing Inc., and is excited to see and be part of their growth year to year.  In his off time, Brian is very involved with his son in the Boy Scout program.

Chris Booth
CAD Estimating and Design Department

Chris graduated from Illinois State University with a bachelor in engineering. He is currently working on his masters. Chris has been with the company for 4 years.  He is committed to finding the newest technology to improve the Computer Aided Drawings that we provide for customers and he also reads the blueprints for any our bid projects. Chris is recently married and loves to Frisbee Golf.

Louie Cosma
Siding, Windows and Doors Superintendent

Louie has been in the industry for over 30 years. Louie is our specialist and project manager for all siding, window and doors jobs. Louie spends his spare time relaxing with his grandchildren at his cottage in the Apple Valley area.

Jerry Knobeloch
Handyman Division Manager

Jerry is our Manager of our Handyman division. He has been fixing and/or repairing things in or on commercial and residential buildings for over 30 years. He has an electrical degree and looks forward to riding his snowmobile in the winter and his motorcycle in the summertime.

Matthew Savage
Lead Project Manager
Matt has been working with Advanced Roofing since 1998. Matt has a Bachelor’s Degree in business, and is working on a Masters at Kaplan University.

Constantly looking to improve himself, he has volunteered for extra classes provided by our vendors and manufacturing partners above and beyond the yearly prerequisites. Regularly displaying his proficient knowledge in all the facets of roofing systems as a whole, he also demonstrates a wiliness to be involved with customers, making certain that they understand our process from start to finish with no worries.

Since he has started with us, he has received certificates for the GAF Corporation Pro Field Exam, is a Master Shingle Applicator for Certainteed, has received the “Wizard” Award in comprehension, completed training with our Velux factory representative, has certificates of achievement from the Smart Vent company, has official recognition in: The Core Fundamentals, and has also received 3 diplomas from the Roofers Success Acadamy.

Matt is married with 4 children. He enjoys traveling, horseback riding, and a good movie.
